Desperate
Desperation, a time when God draws you to Himself. Do you,or have you recently called out to God, begging Him to act in your life, to heal, to take control when you no longer can? The end of Matthew tells 18 tells a story of a man who was desperate, who was literally calling out, and beseeching Jesus to have mercy on him. Even though he was being told to shut up by those passing by-I'm sure he cried out all the more. He knew that Jesus could turn his life upsidedown, but most of all, that Jesus cared. What does Jesus do? He calls him to Himself. After Jesus asks the man what he wants Him to do for him, the man replies, "I want to regain my sight!" And then God in the flesh, the God who loves this man, as He does us, and who is ready to answer when we call, says, "Recieve your sight; your faith has made you well."
Have you come to the end of yourself? Does it seem like there's no hope?
How desperate are you for God? How ready are you for Him to invade your life? When we are hopless, when we see that we are trying to live life all on our own, and cry out to God, having faith, your Creator is ready to draw you to Himself, to help you regain your sight, so that you can see clearly.
Follow. Pursue with all your heart. Be desperater for more of Him. Be persistent.
