One morning in early August I took my hot chocolate out to the dock. I read my Bible for a bit, but I really just wanted to sit there and soak up the sun and just bask in the goodness of my Creator. I was sitting there simply letting my mind wander on quite a few rabbit trails. I felt a light breeze come off the water, and blow against my face. And then I looked at the water. As the wind skimmed across the water, I could see it.  As the wind moved the water along, it made a shadow on the bottom of the lake. I could see where the wind came from and where it was going. I had heard an analogy before that God was like the wind: you can't see Him, but you can feel Him. But what does one say when they've seen the wind? He is always there. I can feel His presence. I can see His presence. Then as I continued to sit a while, a sound kept coming to my ears, and I was uncertain of what it was at first, but I then realized that dragonflies were getting caught up in the reeds. They couldn't do what they were made to do when their wings were getting tangled up in the tall grass.

God, I want to be used by you, I want to follow your lead
God I want to be moved by You, I want to sing of Your love and rejoice in Your faithfulness

Help me not to get stuck in the reed- I want to shine for You, I want to live with passion
And as the wind blows, I want others to know and Your presence to show
You are in this place

God, I want to be used by you, I want to follow your lead
God I want to be moved by You, I want to sing of Your love and rejoice in Your faithfulness....
