How To Make Believe?

I've been asking myself this question for some time now. --I can say it, but how do I make them believe it?
In a country where hospitality is no longer the norm, we now live in busyness and hurry. Time is a commodity. Unfortunately we're not very good at spending it. Dear friends, slow down today. Take time for friendships, relationships, take part in some soul strengthening. I have this big house now, yet don't know how to put my desires for it into action. How do I make people realize that when I say that you are always welcome, I truly mean it? When I say to stop by anytime, I would be delighted if you really did? Friends, I want to be counter-cultural. Because sometimes a mug of coffee, a cup of tea, a bowl of ice cream, is what we need. Paired with Rest, good conversation, and fellowship. We've lost sight of how to build one another up. In a culture where how do you do's take place on a daily basis, we don't take the time to ask how are you really? In a culture of independence, we forget to live life with one another. Because when you give of your time, you truly care, you have opportunity to give Life. It's not often the planned events that change lives, but the unplanned. I want to live life with you, and you with me. To create community. What do you say? Shall we counteract what our culture has become? There are many starved souls. They need hope, they need Life, but they need you and I to live life with them. Invite one another in, take time, share a cuppa, get your priorities in line. And please, come over anytime! I would love to talk with you, pray for you, cry with you. Heck, if you let me know, I could say nothing at all! I'm here for you, and I hope you will do the same for others. Help me carry out my dream. Help me make them believe.
