Sin. And Who I Do Not Want To Be.

I am sick of sin in the world. The way it pulls people in, the way it seems so appetizing, entertaining, appealing, attractive, wanted. I do not appreciate it tearing people's lives apart. It makes girls think they're not valuable, unwanted, and makes them look for what they need in the wrong places. Sin eats away, it lashes out, and lives are destroyed. It tries to convince you that there is no other option. When being enticed by sin, people only think of momentary gain...but what about the future? I was sick of it all. Good thing I was reminded that there is more.

Sin has lost it's power
Death has lost it's sting
From the grave You've risen
Victoriously

Into marvelous light I'm running
Out of darkness, out of shame
By the cross You are the truth
You are the life, You are the way

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." -John 16:33

Also, sometimes the best teacher is to see what you should do. However, sometimes it can be just as striking to see what you do not want to do. I can think of many things that I have seen this week, that I want to make sure are not happening in my life. I am NOT saying all should be judgmental, but to assess your life, and make sure you are the change you wish to see.
