Thoughts.

  I really like them. Thoughts, that is. I can be a bit random, but I love thinking(yes, I know, it might be a bit of a shocker to some of you out there:). Thinking about my favorite things, about life, about dreams, about God-those thoughts can go on for a long time-but I guess shouldn't He have most all our thoughts?

"We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ"

  Randomnesses, stuff. I can think for a very long time, it's when I start saying things out loud, well that's a different story.... 

 What does this have to do with my blog post? I really don't know. That's the glory of it. 

  Today, I'm just going to write about thoughts. Particularly, some of which I've been thinking about recently. 

  I really like to be told what to do. Well, let me explain. If I'm given instructions, I will generally be willing to comply, without to much complaining, do my best, and get the job done. I work better if I'm told SPECIFIC things to do. When finished with the task at hand, I'll go on to the next. 

  Jesus has told us how to live amazing lives, how to be filled up with Him, How to prosper, and one of my greatest desires; how to CHANGE THE WORLD while bringing glory to Him. He's told us to feed those who are hungry, inviting the stranger and poor in to our home and our lives, clothing those who have none, coming to those who are sick and in prison(Matthew25, Isaiah 58:6-11). Did you know that when we do those things, we're doing them to Jesus? 

  But. Somewhere between the command, things we should do, and action, there's a disconnect for me. I don't understand it. I want and desire to change the world, but how? Couldn't you just give me a 10(or even a 20, 50,100) step plan. I know the things I should do, but often they seem so broad and almost vague. Feeding the hungry, how? When? Where? Strangers? But! My mom's told me not to talk to them! Do you just randomly choose them? And naked? I don't know about you, but I don't generally like to associate with naked people. 

  We CAN change the world, but we HAVE to make Him the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN OUR LIVES. How? Well, that's a good question. But, don't lose heart, it can be done! 

  I have already lived about 1/5 of my life. How in the world did this happen?? Life is short, and there's only a few things that will matter at the end of it. Did you know there's also only a few things you won't be able to do in heaven? Telling unbelievers about Him will be one of them. When we get there it will be too late for that.  For some people, you might have been their chance. In a sense, their ticket in. Don't get to heaven with a pocket full of tickets. 

*note: totally unrelated. Hey, these are my thoughts after all. How many people have you known that have actually gone HA, HA, HA, HA, HA while riding in a one-horse open sleigh? Hmm? Ya, that's what I thought. 

 Did God create Adam and Eve with belly buttons, just because He could? You have to believe that God has a sense of humor. That's why I'm here! :D
