It Matters.

There's been much to think about recently. As my writing teacher would say, this is a freewrite. Which is used to get your thoughts out, and probably never actually shown to anyone. Because, well, they don't generally make sense. Sorry!
Today amidst the buzz of reelection, and debate, I caught myself saying something like this to my class mate: "People are going to believe what they want to believe, so it doesn't really matter." Granted, this was after I was tired of hearing debate about whether marijuana should be legalized, and allowing non tribal casinos in Oregon. However, as soon as I said it, I wish I hadn't. There is danger in that phrase. We as Christ followers, can't think this way. This is a wrong mindset. We always need to be seeking out ways to change a life. Yes, if someone is stubbornly set on something, it's probably not going to get you very far hashing it out through heated argument. That is where God comes in, that's where prayer comes in, that's when you have to speak truth in love. Truth and love. It does matter. Because what you believe/know to be true, is far better. And they need to know that. Desperately need to know. They are walking off a cliff with only you to stop them. Are you going to be there for them? How big of a difference are you willing to make? How persistent will you be? Strive to get their attention. NOW!  QUICKLY!
"The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a scandalous message.
It’s a shocking revelation.
It’s a prophetic declaration.
It’s a transforming proclamation.
It’s a soul-saving truth and it is the power of God for all who believe." -Caleb and Sol
