No Good Thing. (Psalm 84:11 part 2)
I have far too many questions than I have answers for tonight. Most of the time this week I've been blown away by the second part of Psalm 84:11. Though, at other times, it seems to be coming close to mockery. "NO GOOD THING does He withhold from those who walk uprightly." This is good news, it's a promise. A blessing. Even though we think we should be doing, or having something different, this is His best for you. Right now. He does know what's best. You can leave that to Him. NO GOOD THING! He has given it all to you. He doesn't withhold.
But there are questions...What is going on when life comes crashing down? How could this possibly be good? You could say, "Well, maybe you're not living uprightly(with integrity)." That could be the case, but not always. Even when a person is a sold out disciple of Jesus, what then? Even bad comes then. You can look to Job for that Example. There's more. There has to be.
"Beloved, not only does the Lord not withhold anything good from us, but He in fact gives us His very self. He is with us. Dwells in us, abides with us. He invites us into His courts to be with Him. We are blessed dear one."
Ah, God is good always. He gives himself. When the earth fails to be what we want, He remains. This is crazy. You've got a plan. And you don't withhold anything good, but delight in giving good.
Creator, I don't know what you're doing, but I know who you are. And sometimes life doesn't make sense.

Are you walking uprightly? When trying to find the exact meaning of upright, I found it to mean 'complete' a couple of times. I know that we can only find ourselves truly complete in God, who holds all together. In my mind complete would also mean lacking nothing. Can you choose to look to your Creator, and choose to acknowledge that right now you are living out His best for you?
