Psalm 84:11 part 1
Today, I shall keep this short and to the point. Days like today can be wonderful. Not much to attend to, I have lots to think about, but on days like today I feel like pushing most thoughts aside. It's one o'clock, and I'm in sweats. I have classical music lightly playing (Just loud enough to be background noise. I have Post-At-Home Brother Syndrome-yes, I did just make that up-I have never quite gotten used to it being quiet..), and I'm looking out the window at the sun shining through the water drops hanging on the trees. The sun makes them glorious. It's like a rainbow condensed into a drop. I can catch some red, green, blue, and I want to make myself say that I saw some yellow, orange, and purple too. I look, and then read the Good
Word. Thinking there must be some great analogy about us and God. Op, there it is. Psalm 84:11a: "For the Lord is a sun and shield; the Lord gives grace and glory..." The Lord is the sun. He shines through and makes all grace and glory. He makes us beautiful. So that we can cast rays of rainbows. This sounds a little like the stuff of glitter, fairies, unicorns, and rainbows, but it's truer than true. He makes life beautiful, colorful, and joyous. We just need to remember to open up to Him, and not block the Son from shining some sun on our lives. We also need to be translucent. So that others can see.
