Be the Difference.

Four days ago I started life as an 'adult'. What is that? After looking back at my year, and all that has gone on, I realized that it's been a pretty great year with many great experiences, memories, and adventures. I tried to think of things that I would have changed, or done differently...was there something missing? Then I had a thought. Had I a made a difference? Could I truly say that I  have undoubtedly made a difference in one person's life this past year? To my shame, I couldn't say that I have. I've had some good conversations, and might be able to say that I've been there for a friend or two, but had I made a difference? I can have a great life, and do fun things, and even give of my time, but if my goal is not to make a difference in other's lives, am I accomplishing what I was made to do? I really do want my life to be lived in a way that is making a difference in the lives of many around me.
My brother and sister-in-love called me on the morning of my Birthday, and before they hung up they told me "We used to ask our friends this in college, so one question for you: What are three things you want to do before you turn another year older?" I haven't quite settled on three yet, but I've thought of a couple.
Let's live intentionally this next year, shall we? So, I ask you, what's three things you want to do in the next year? Are you scared to state them? Because that will mean that you may have to start taking steps toward seeing those things accomplished?
